Disney Parks are magical year round, no matter who you visit with. We shared how to travel to Disney Parks & Resorts with little ones, but what if you’re deciding to make the trip with only adults? Disney is known for being the Happiest Place on Earth for guests of every age, and your vacation can be just as magical whether or not you’re visiting with kids. Here are some of our tips and tricks for visiting Disney as an adult, as well as some of the best experiences you can add to your adults-only trip.

Check out the amazing bars and lounges

There are some pretty amazing bars and lounges at both Disneyland Resort in California and Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. From the original Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar at the Disneyland Hotel to Jellyrolls at Disney’s BoardWalk, each 21-and-over establishment is filled with its own magical touches. Plus, Disney bars and lounges offer some of the most amazing cocktails that you can’t get anywhere else.

Go on a romantic fireworks cruise

If you’re taking a Disney trip as a couple and you want to add a little romance to the trip, then a fireworks cruise at Walt Disney World is the experience for you. You can take a boat ride overlooking the Magic Kingdom fireworks show. You can do this with or without kids, but what better way to relax with your other half than by taking a fireworks cruise while dining on delicious food and drinks? Call (407) WDW-PLAY to book before your next trip.

Experience fine dining Disney style

Disneyland and Walt Disney World offer some epic theme park experiences, from thrilling rides to breathtaking shows. But one of the reasons so many of us keep going back is the amazing food that the Disney Resorts serve up again and again. Disney offers some absolutely delectable fine dining experiences that we often can’t imagine splurging on during a trip with the whole family. But if you’re traveling with only adults, your friends, or your significant other, you may feel more inclined to add a fine dining experience to your trip. Try eating at the chef’s counter at Napa Rose in Disney’s Grand Californian or at Victoria & Albert’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian. These are expensive meals, but you won’t regret either of these options.

Visit during one of Disney’s epic festivals

Every year, Disneyland and Walt Disney World host amazing festivals filled with exclusive food and beverage offerings. When you take a trip with your kids, you may be more focused on making the trip special for them and riding all your favorite rides rather than taking it slow and enjoying the atmosphere yourself. So on your next adults-only trip, visit Disneyland or Walt Disney World during one of their festivals, like Food & Wine Festival at Disney California Adventure or Epcot’s International Flower & Garden Festival. Take your time moseying around each kiosk and trying the amazing food dishes and one-of-a-kind cocktails, and spend some extra hours experiencing things you may not get to with your whole family.

Book a spa day

When you think of a Disney trip, how often does the word “spa” come to mind? Probably not very, but that can change on your next trip. If you’re able to, we suggest booking a day at the spa. Disney’s Grand Californian at Disneyland and several resort hotels at Walt Disney World have spas where you can experience a variety of specialty treatments, from massages and facials to manicures and pedicures. Best of all, you don’t need to be staying at a deluxe Disney resort to book spa treatments there.

Spend time relaxing

Finally, our greatest piece of advice for every Disney vacation is to spend some time relaxing. We understand that isn’t always possible for a vacation with your whole family, but on your adults-only visit, we highly recommend blocking out times to relax. Spend a day at your resort, go to Disney Springs, and sleep in or order some in-room dining.
