in Disney, Theme Parks, Walt Disney World

Epcot International Festival of the Holidays 2018 is officially in full swing at Walt Disney World, and this year’s festival is serving up some of the best sweet and savory delights from your favorite countries around the world. Take a look at some of our favorites below.

Beginning with a dish found close to home at American Holiday Table in The American Adventure is the Slow-roasted Turkey with Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans and Cranberry Sauce. Nothing screams Christmas dinner at home more than this grab-and-go feast.

WATCH – FESTIVAL OF THE HOLIDAY SWEET & SAVORY OFFERINGS:

This dish will satisfy the taste buds of all ages, including those with pickier appetites. In addition to this delectable offering, American Holiday Table also includes some of the following feasts:

  • Hand-carved Smoked Ham with Green Beans and Sweet Potato Casserole (Gluten/Wheat Friendly) (Kid-Approved)
  • Chocolate Pecan Tart with Whipped Cream and Caramel Sauce (Vegetarian)
  • Red and Green Chocolate Chip Cookie (Vegetarian)

Brand new to this year’s festival is the Holiday Kitchen: the L’Chaim booth! Located between Morocco and France, the L’Chaim Holiday Kitchen brings even more cultural representation to the festival, as this year guests will be able to taste traditional Jewish holiday dishes in celebration of the season.

One of this new booth’s savory bites include the delectable offering below of Pastrami on Rye. This sandwich features fresh-cut meat, mustard and is topped off with a pickle.

This classic Jewish deli sandwich is a great offering you can hold right in your hands while enjoying the many holiday decorations found around Epcot.

Another savory bite from this new booth includes the Potato Knish with Herb Sour Cream (pictured below). The potato knish is light and fluffy and its topping of herb sour cream gives it a nice kick, making it one of our favorites.

Other offerings coming to L’Chaim Holiday Kitchen include the following:

  • Chicken and Matzo Ball Soup
  • Black and White Cookie (Vegetarian)

For guests looking for a cheesier offering from this year’s festival, they can head over to Feast of the Three Kings at Showcase Plaza, where they can find the Queso Fresco-stuffed Arepa.

This South American-inspired dish is packed with delicious flavor from its queso fresco stuffing, and with the addition of Shrimp, Crushed Avocado Aji and Tomato Sauce, you’re guaranteed to have your taste buds blown with this bite!

Other offerings coming to this booth include the following:

  • Pastelón: Sofrito-marinated Beef with Sweet Plantains and Olives (Gluten/Wheat Friendly)
  • Arepas topped with Melted Queso Fresco (Vegetarian) (Gluten/Wheat Friendly) (Kid-Approved)
  • Tres Leches Rice Pudding with Pumpkin Seeds (Gluten/Wheat Friendly)
  • Green and White Sugar Cookie (Vegetarian)

In addition to the 12 Holiday Kitchens at this year’s festival, Epcot is also offering a Holiday Cookie Stroll. When you pick up a festival passport, take note of the different locations listed as official Holiday Cookie Stroll stops. Guests can purchase any five cookies from the locations listed, collect a stamp from each location (ask a cast member at the location to stamp your passport), and bring the stamped passport to Holiday Sweets & Treats to receive a complimentary completer cookie. Whether you complete the Cookie Stroll in one day or throughout the festival, you won’t want to miss out on these tasty treats. Take a look at some of the delicious sweets below!
