Annual Pass

As Walt Disney World Resort premiered its new online vacation-planning tool today with date-based tickets, the Resort also quietly raised its Annual Pass and parking rates.

Starting today, Guests who want to enjoy the magic of the Disney Parks throughout the year have to pay a little more, as each of the Walt Disney World annual passes has seen increases, with the largest price jump being an additional $45. The new rates for annual passes are as follows (these prices are for Guests who reside outside of Florida):

  • Platinum Plus: $994, increased from $949
  • Platinum: $894, increased from $849
  • Gold: $609, increased from $589
  • Silver: $479, increased from $439

In addition to the increase of Annual Pass prices, parking rates have also been raised to the following:

Standard (car or motorcycle): $25, increased from $22
Oversized (shuttle, limo, camper trailer, RV, bus, or tractor-trailer): $30, increased from $27
Preferred (car or motorcycle): $50, increased from $45

Registered Guests of Disney Resort Hotels, select Annual Passholders, Premium Passholders, and Disney Premier Passport holders may enjoy complimentary standard self-parking at Disney theme parks.

These increases come in the wake of the Resort’s new online ticket planning system, which includes in-depth looks at Park offerings, tips from Disney Parks Moms Panelists, and entertainment suggestions based on individual Guests’ personal preferences, in addition to a whole new way to purchase Park tickets.

As part of the new setup, the tool offers an interactive online calendar, which compares different ticket prices based on the dates Guests choose to visit the parks. In the video below, you can see a closer look at how the new system works.

WATCH – NEW DATE-BASED TICKET TOOL:

With the premiere of the new system, Disney says, “select tickets have decreased, increased or stayed the same, depending on the start date and length of the ticket.” In the example of a 3-day ticket with a start date of February 10, 2019, Guests will now be paying $4 less per day than with the prior system. An example is showing the opposite effect, where Guests would spend more money, would be when purchasing a 6-day ticket starting on Thanksgiving, which will now cost $5 more per day.
