Disney announces even more stars to appear at “Mickey’s 90th Spectacular”

Mickey’s 90th Spectacular,” Mickey Mouse’s 90th anniversary TV special, has just received a little extra magic as ABC has announced a special lineup of music, film, and television stars joining the celebration of the beloved mouse. Some stars from this new lineup includes Josh Groban, Leslie Odom Jr., Meghan Trainor and more.

Newly announced today, additional stars to appear at the special celebration will include Josh Gad (“Disney’s Frozen”), Skylar Astin (“Pitch Perfect”), singer-songwriter Kelsea Ballerini, Miles Brown (“black-ish”), Anna Camp (“Pitch Perfect”), Wendi McLendon-Convey (“The Goldbergs”), and Sage Steele (host of ESPN’s “SportsCenter”).

Also announced today, the show will feature musical performances by Grammy-nominated and five-time Latin Grammy-winner, Luis Fonsi, and Grammy-nominated musician, Tori Kelly. Fonsi will be performing his new single and Kelly is set to perform her own rendition of “Colors of the Wind” from Disney’s “Pocahontas.”

Additionally, D23 has announced today that the special will feature Mouseketeers from the original “Mickey Mouse Club,” including Bob Burgess and Sharon Baird.

Taping on October 6, other stars to have special appearances at the taping include Kristen Bell (Disney’s “Frozen”), Sofia Carson (Disney’s “Descendants”), Tony Hale (HBO’s “Veep”) and Sarah Hyland (ABC’s “Modern Family). Bob Iger, Disney Chairman and CEO, will also be present at the event to help celebrate the famous mouse’s milestone anniversary.

For an event this big, the show will also have some of the biggest names in music, including GRAMMY Award-winning singer Josh Groban, who is set to sing his new single “Granted” and NCT 127, the Seoul-based K-Pop group who will be singing their song “Regular.”

Other stars to perform at the show will sing songs from some of Disney’s most iconic classic films. These include “When You Wish Upon A Star” (from Disney’s 1940 adaptation of “Pinocchio”), performed by Leslie Odom Jr., “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” (from Disney/Pixar’s “Toy Story” franchise), performed by Meghan Trainor and “Bare Necessities” (from Disney’s “The Jungle Book”), performed by Zac Brown Band.
