Character Dining

Spend your Thanksgiving holiday dining with Disney characters at the Disneyland Hotel. Hotel dining is a great option for anyone, but especially those who are not planning a park visit, because you can visit the hotels without a park ticket or a hotel reservation! On Thursday, November 22, 2018, from 11:30 AM to 6:00 PM, you can dine on an all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet feast while meeting your favorite Disney pals. The grand ballroom in the Disneyland Hotel will be decorated from floor to ceiling to become an immersive fall atmosphere. And the menu, which includes artisanal cheeses and seafood to start, carved meats and traditional Thanksgiving fare, pumpkin pie, and much more, will please and accommodate the preferences of guests of all ages. Reservations are recommended, and you can book here at the Disneyland website.

Tradition with a Twist

Over in Disneyland, park guests can feast on a Monte Cristo sandwich with a holiday twist. On Thanksgiving, Cafe Orleans, the popular restaurant nestled in New Orleans Square, will be serving a Thanksgiving-style Monte Cristo stuffed with turkey and cheese and accompanied by cranberry sauce and gravy. If you’re a fan of the holiday turkey sandwich from Earl of Sandwich, this menu item will likely be up your alley. The restaurant’s Thanksgiving menu will also include a kid-size version of the sandwich and a slice of pumpkin pie. Check this one out if you’re planning a Thanksgiving park visit.

Additionally, Blue Bayou in Disneyland will be serving up their unique take on Thanksgiving dinner, complete with a creole-style andouille sausage stuffing and a pumpkin creme brulee. In Frontierland, Rancho del Zocalo will offer seasonal tamales on Thanksgiving Day.

In Disney California Adventure, Carthay Circle will also be offering their seasonal menu, with a spiced pumpkin bar as dessert. Pacific Wharf Cafe is serving a Thanksgiving-style turkey soup in a bread bowl and pumpkin spice bread pudding.

Reservations are recommended for Cafe Orleans, Blue Bayou, and Carthay Circle and you can book on the Disneyland website.

In Downtown Disney, Catal Restaurant will be serving a prix fixe three-course Thanksgiving dinner with an elegant twist. The meal will include your choice of a seasonal squash soup or smoked salmon toast, a savory entrée, and a decadent butterscotch pot de crème for dessert. Reservations are recommended and can be made here. Take a look at the delectable menu below!

If you can’t snag a dining reservation (or your day is too busy to sit down and eat), don’t worry! You can always have your own turkey dinner on-the-go with a famous Disneyland turkey leg, which is available at food carts throughout the parks.
