The new Alien Swirling Saucers ride at Toy Story Land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios lets guests to Walt Disney World board a toy rocket and hang on tight as Aliens take them on a spin through space.

Alien Swirling Saucers officially opens with Toy Story Land this Saturday and to prepare you for your first visit to the new land we’re giving you a look at this brand new attraction. This ride was developed specifically for this new land, but if it seems familiar to you it’s because its ride system was influenced by Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree at Disney California Adventure Park.

WATCH – ALIEN SWIRLING SAUCERS RIDE AND POV:

The story of this attraction is that Andy had set up all his space toys in a special area of his back yard. This included his Swirling Saucers, which he won at pizza planet, his Buzz Lightyear and his Star Command play set, which serves as queue to the attraction. And when all these special toys came together they created this special new attraction, Alien Swirling Saucers.

When experiencing the attraction guests get to ride with the aliens who fly on saucers as their vehicle soars behind them through the galaxy. Some lucky visitors to Alien Swirling Saucers can become the “chosen one” if they are selected by the claw!

As guests walk up to this attraction they can’t help but feel like they’ve been transported to outer space. The outside of the attraction is the housing of the ride, which resembles two big flying saucers.

If you happen to be in the land at night, you can see the attraction light up. Colorful lights line the exterior and interior of the attraction, which all really transform the attraction at night into a whole other experience for guests.

To the left of the attraction is a big Buzz Lightyear. As guests approach the big Buzz, they can hear special catch phrases being played from the massive toy. In the video above you can take a look at the massive replica of the beloved toy and hear one of his many sayings.

To the left of Buzz is the entrance to the queue. The exterior of the queue features bright colors from the ride and for the “Toy Story” fans out there, it also features Robot Guards that guard the Pizza Planet entrance in the films.

The physical queue line runs through the Star Command play set, which is full of interactive elements for guests to enjoy while they wait. The entire queue area is very well themed and full of bright and vivid alien and Buzz Lightyear-themed colors of purple, green and blue. It also features Buzz Lightyear-themed murals, which line some of the queue’s walls.

The ride platform to the attraction is pretty simple in comparison to the rest of the ride. Although, this is where you get a nice close-up look at the bright and polychromatic ride vehicles and track that really pop within the attraction.

I personally have gotten to experience this attraction once and I can honestly say it isn’t the most exciting attraction, but it is definitely a fun and cute break from the park. The ride does have some sharp spins that may make you slide back and forth in your chair, but for the most part it is a breezy ride with fun flashing lights and nice themed space music. Definitely a fun experience for the younger guests to the park.

Be sure to check out this experience for yourself on Saturday, June 30, when it officially opens to the public at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World. For more information, visit the official website.
