Disney Cruise Line is adding three new vessels to its fleet in 2021, 2022, and 2023, and today Disney CEO Bob Iger revealed an early rendering of the new ship’s exterior.

The new ships embody the golden age of ocean sailing with unique touches. Guests aboard the vessels can look forward to new technologies, innovation, and spectacular entertainment with more Disney stories and characters than ever before.

Each new ship is about 140,000 gross tons, which is slightly larger than Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy. Currently, around 1,250 guest staterooms are planned for each vessel. Design plans, names, and itineraries are still in development, but this rendering gives a peek at what’s in store.

The new vessels will be powered by liquified natural gas, or LNG, which is one of the cleanest-burning fuels available.

In addition, Disney’s iconic stories come to life in surprising ways on the new ships, building on the creativity of the rest of the Disney Cruise Line fleet. Over the past few years, entertainment inspired by Marvel, “Star Wars,” and “Beauty and the Beast” has delighted guests aboard Disney Cruise Line ships, while Tiana’s Place and Rapunzel’s Royal Table combined dining with storytelling and interactive moments.
