At Home Imagineering: “Star Wars”-Inspired Millennium Falcon Bed

in Disney, Merchandise, Movies, Star Wars, Theater

There will be no resisting a rest when this Corellian crib. Han and Chewie’s famous freighter is now the stuff dreams are made of, literally.

The frontrunner for dad of the year, imgur user Dericrw, not only cleverly crafted this cockpit bed but turned his son’s room into a stellar “Star Wars” escape.

Adding to the space saga theme and designed to appear as if flying in space, the bunk blends in with a full wall image of the “Falcon” floating in orbit.

With space to smuggle and stow toys, books and more, bedtime becomes the best time of the day in this levitated loft.

A hatch and ladder allow access to climb aboard for imaginative adventure.

Across from the hatch, on the opposite side of this interstellar inspired incarnation, a flat panel television hangs above a toy weapon cache.

Framing the TV and Nerf hoarding hideaway are familiar wall patterns. These are augmented with backlit color changing LED illumination.

Smuggling cargo not your style? Don’t have the skills or time to fabricate a futuristic fantasy bedroom? A classic “Star Wars” style sleep chamber is still within the realm of reality.

Luke’s landspeeder bed can help send younglings to dreamland in a galaxy far, far away. The twin sized bed resembles the ‘speeder that Luke drove across the desert under the twin suns of Tatooine.  Rooms to Go Kids offers this brilliant bed on their website for $488-$688.

Add a Millennium Falcon oversized floor pillow from Pottery Barn Kids for added atmosphere.

Are you a fan of themed environments at home or work?  Have you created the ultimate escape based on your passion for pop culture?  We’d LOVE to share this with our readers.  Please drop Michael Gavin an email about your incredibly inspired area.
