Disneyland to begin “Bride Auction” refurbishment for Pirates of the Caribbean on April 23

in Disney, Disneyland Resort, Theme Parks

According to the Orange County Register, Disneyland’s Pirates of the Caribbean attraction will temporarily close starting April 23 in order to remove the infamous “Bride Auction” scene.

The refurbishment removes the current Bride Auction featuring the fan-favorite Redhead and gives her a new role. In the updated version, a gunslinging Redhead will assist with the Mercado auction that relieves locals of their valuables.

Disneyland Paris has already debuted the updated Redhead scene, and the refurbishment is currently underway at Walt Disney World. The attraction is scheduled to reopen in mid-March. Below, take a look at the updated version at Disneyland Paris.
