Since the 1980s, the Michael Eisner-created Disney Television Animation department of the House of Mouse has been churning out high-quality content chock-full of adventure and comedy designed for the small screen. And over the next couple weeks Southern California’s Gallery Nucleus is hosting an officially-sanctioned art show to pay tribute to that three-decade legacy.

“An Art Tribute to Disney Television Animation” curates dozens of terrific paintings and drawings inspired by TV shows starting with the Disney Afternoon (though it’s entirely different from the unofficial Disney Afternoon art show we saw last summer in Anaheim) and running through contemporary Disney cartoons like “Gravity Falls” and “Big Hero 6: The Series.”
