Tokyo Disney Resort announces limited-time “Pixar Playtime” event with meet-and-greets, merchandise and more

Pixar Playtime is heading to Tokyo Disney Resort from January 11 – March 19, 2018.

The new event takes place at Tokyo DisneySea and features Pixar character meet-and-greets, games, and more. Gaming booths offer challenges for guests of all ages and will include the house from “Up,” the kitchen from “Ratatouille,” and a pit stop from “Cars.”

Character meet-and-greet opportunities include Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, and Bullseye from “Toy Story,” Mike and Sulley from “Monsters, Inc.,” Remy from “Ratatouille,” and Carl, Russell, and Dug from “Up.”

In addition, Remy performs a culinary show outside Zambini Brothers Ristorante and Lightning McQueen greets guests at American Waterfront.

Pixar Playtime has a board game theme and gaming decorations can be found throughout the park. Fifty Pixar game-themed items will be on sale at DisneySea, including t-shirts and keychains.

For even more fun, Mickey ears can be customized with Pixar character stickers. The hat costs  ¥1,800 ($16USD) while the 36 stickers are sold individually for ¥200 ($1.80USD).

Pixar-themed snacks and meals can also be found throughout the park. Miguel’s El Dorado Cantina features a special menu inspired by “Coco” and Sultans Oasis has “Monsters, Inc.” treats. Special menus can also be found at Cafe Portofino, Yucatan Base Camp Grill, and the American Waterfront’s New York Deli.
