“It’s a Small World Holiday” will get the FastPass/MaxPass treatment this Christmas season at Disneyland

It’s a Small World is one of the most famous and enduring Disney theme park attractions of all time, and its Christmastime counterpart “It’s a Small World Holiday” makes for an incredibly popular seasonal overlay at the end of each year at the original Disneyland in Southern California.

This time around it appears as though the queue for “It’s a Small World Holiday” will receive a significant upgrade, utilizing Disneyland Resort‘s FastPass and new upcharge MaxPass ride reservation system. In fact, the pass scanners have already been installed at the entrance to the water-based attraction in the Fantasyland area of the park.

The FastPass/MaxPass installation for “It’s a Small World Holiday” makes perfect sense, as lines for the experience regularly snake around the corner and across the adjacent path during the yuletide makeover. Having additional rides on the system also helps alleviate demand for existing attractions, freeing up availability for other FastPasses around the park. As always, this coming Christmas season will be one of the busiest times of year for the Happiest Place on Earth.

Rumor has it that should the new FastPass/MaxPass strategy prove effective for “It’s a Small World Holiday,” it could roll over into usage for the standard It’s a Small World attraction during year-round operation.

“It’s a Small World Holiday” opens Friday, November 10th at Disneyland.
