Break out your trenchcoat and briefcase because a new spy museum is heading to midtown Manhattan in December.

SPYSCAPE is a museum dedicated to espionage and cybersecurity. The 60,000 square-foot space features a range of experiences and a collection of rare and authentic spy artifacts. Smoked glass and dark grey acoustic paneling create disorientation and a sense of mystery for guests as they explore the museum.

Visitors enter through a vaulted light canopy before heading through partially obscured circulation spaces. From there, guests can explore seven pavilions and immersive multimedia environments with digital displays on walls, screens, tables, and the floor.

Each pavilion is focused on one aspect of spying, including code breaking, hacking, and interrogation techniques.

As guests travel through SPYSCAPE, their performance is monitored and ranked by a special profiling system devised by the Head of Training for British Intelligence. The profile reveals which spy role is the perfect fit for each guest.

The museum also features a cafe, private event space, and a shop filled with books about the spy game.

SPYSCAPE, from Archimedia, is taking reservations now on their website. Museum admission is $39 per person.

When it opens, SPYSCAPE will be the second spy-themed museum in the United States. The International Spy Museum in Washington, D.C., opened in 2002.
