Nutella Café to open in Chicago, offering plenty of new ways to get your Nutella fix

If you don’t live in Chicago, you may be moving there when you hear this news. An official Nutella Café is scheduled to open at the end of May.

It’s the first all-Nutella restaurant to be owned and operated by Ferrero, the company that owns the Nutella brand.  Located on Michigan Avenue, the new café will be joining Nutella eateries already inside Eataly in New York and Chicago.

The design of the restaurant echoes the red and white colors on every jar of Nutella. As Angela Baird, the director of operations of BIG Retail, told the Chicago Tribune, “It’s designed to make you feel like you’re actually walking into a jar of Nutella.”

The menu offers plenty of new ways to enjoy Nutella, including this waffle drizzled with the hazelnut spread and topped with vanilla ice cream.

There’s also an affogato served with fior di latte gelato, covered in Nutella and a warm espresso shot.

How about these crepes stuffed with Nutella?

If your mouth is watering, you’ll only have to wait until May 31 when the restaurant opens at 10:00AM. Nutella is giving away prizes to the first 400 visitors, so get there early.
