Strap on your sword and prepare to fly into battle on a dragon at Motiongate theme park’s “How to Train Your Dragon” land. The Dubai theme park has opened this newest land based on the DreamWorks animated film. The new land will eventually contain three rides within the park’s DreamWorks zone.

The forthcoming Dragon Gliders ride will let guests take flight and discover the experience of what it’s like to fly with Hiccup and Toothless. This rollercoaster ride will let you fly over the Great Hall and the village of Berk.

WATCH – MAKING OF “DRAGON GLIDERS”:

Dragon Gliders will have the unique ability to be stopped, sped up and slowed down by ride operators. The idea behind this design was to help guests focus on the scenic and important parts of the ride.

In the video above you can get a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the ride, in addition to some of the inspiration behind how the attraction operates.

The area’s Swinging Viking ride takes you on an adventure with Ruffnut and Tuffnut, hijacking a Viking ship – just for fun. The Camp Vikings ride lets you climb aboard waterlogged ships in Berk’s Harbor. This ride is meant for younger ones as it features crawl netting, dragons and water guns.

The “How to Train Your Dragon” themed area is now open at the Motiongate Theme park in Dubai. To purchase tickets to the attraction, visit their website
