Celebrate 35 years of Epcot with D23’s Fanniversary event this fall, tickets now available

Epcot Center opened on October 1st, 1982, finally bringing life to Walt Disney’s vision of an Experimental Prototype City of Tomorrow. This year Walt Disney World‘s famous second theme park (now known as simply Epcot) will be celebrating its 35th anniversary, and the official Disney fan club D23 is planning the ultimate celebration event for Epcot fans!

D23 Gold and Gold Family Members of age 12 or older can reserve tickets now for what promises to be an enlightening and entertaining day exploring the history of one of the most famous and well-loved theme parks in the world (See our coverage of the 2012 30th anniversary event to get a better idea of the spirit and content of the event.)

Guests will enjoy three presentations by “Disney luminaries who played an influential role in the development of Epcot ,” a boxed lunch served during a nostalgic look back at images of Epcot through the decades, and all attendees will receive an exclusive one-of-a-kind gift before the Fanniversary comes to an end.

D23’s Epcot 35th Fanniversary event will take place Sunday, October 1st in the World Showplace Events Pavillion at Epcot. Tickets are available now at D23’s official website.
