The Disney Cruise Line’s ship, the Disney Wonder recently went through a dry dock period to update the ship with new offerings and enhancements. One of those offerings is the new dining establishment, Tiana’s Place, which serves up cajun food and jazzy tunes. The whole restaurant is inspired by the Disney animated feature “The Princess and the Frog,” and with that comes all the classic charms of New Orleans.

The restaurant is full of Tiana’s personal touches such as family photos, water lily-shaped candle holders, and her framed culinary awards. This is a restaurant where no detail is too small, so make sure to give yourself plenty of time to just look around.
The menu is full of dishes that draw inspiration from the flavors and ingredients of the Louisiana bayou mixed with a classiness for which the Disney Cruise Line is known. On the appetizer list, you can find everything from tuna tartare to duck confit. Entrees range from spicy pork tenderloin to the more gentle artichoke ravioli. For desserts, there is nothing better than the buttermilk beignets.
The main draw of this restaurant, though, is the live entertainment. Tiana herself acts as the host as she introduces her jazz band, The Crawfish Crooner’s, before walking the room to meet and greet guests. The Crawfish Crooner’s live music blends the toe-tapping notes of jazz, swing, and blues, setting the tone perfectly for the French Quarter club atmosphere.
All in all, we would definitely conclude that Tiana’s Place is a “must-do” dining option due to its incredible theming and rare entertainment.
