Have you ever wanted to own a piece of your favorite theme park? Legitimate opportunities to do so come up very rarely, but they do happen every so often. That’s why it’s best to take full advantage of those situations when they arise.

Luckily, the beloved Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, California (which has been around in some form or another for almost a hundred years) has just announced one of those opportunities. Unlike the nearby Disneyland, whose artifacts tend to only become available through auctions from private owners– like the recent examples at Van Eaton Galleries in Sherman Oaks– Knott’s is hosting its own official memorabilia sale right on its own property.

On an so-far-unspecified date this spring, the 1200-seat Charles M. Schulz Theater within the Knott’s Berry Farm gates will play home to a tremendous auction featuring more than three hundred one-of-a-kind items from the park’s long and storied history, including mementos from “Ghost Town, Camp Snoopy, the famous Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant, theme park rides, Knott’s Scary Farm, and the Walter Knott Archives.”

According to the official Knott’s Berry Farm website:

Items will range from historic signs, antiques, important theme park vehicles, player pianos, vintage coin operated machines, photography and much more.

While additional information about the date of the auction or specific items is not yet available, stay tuned to Inside the Magic in the coming months or check back at the Heritage Auctions site as spring approaches for further details.
