Today Entertainment Weekly shared a first look at Belle and Beast from the upcoming live-action movie Beauty and the Beast. In this weeks issue of the magazine, Emma Watson, the actress that is starring as Belle, talks about her love for this classic tale.
“I can’t even think how many times I watched it as a child,” says the former Harry Potter star. “I knew all the words by heart. I knew all the songs by heart.”
The magazine cover shows Watson in the iconic, yellow dress that Belle wears in the original film’s ballroom scene and shows just how closely the movie will stick to that version.
Joining Watson in the movie is Dan Stevens (Downton Abbey) as the Beast, Luke Evans (The Hobbit) as Belle’s egomaniacal suitor, Gaston, and Josh Gad (Frozen) as Gaston’s sidekick, Le Fou.
