Popular mimes to return to SeaWorld Orlando for annual Christmas Celebration event

A massive budget cut in SeaWorld’s workforce back in December of 2014 also triggered layoffs for a trio of popular mimes that performed as part of the Clyde & Seamore sea-lion and otter show at SeaWorld Orlando for over 20 years. For the holiday season, however, the theme park is bringing back mimes for a limited time during SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration which begins November 21 and takes place on select dates through December 31.

The Orlando Sentinel is reporting that Lynn Frey will perform in the seasonal “Clyde and Seamore’s Countdown to Christmas” show. Jim Hackworth and Tom Munson, the two other original mimes, will not be returning so SeaWorld held open auditions for the two remaining roles.

SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration will take place Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays November 25 through December 11 and daily December 16 through 31.

Guests can make holiday memories by enjoying live shows, festive shopping and delicious food. Beloved Christmas character Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and friends, including Clarice, Bumble, the Abominable Snow Monster and Yukon Cornelius, and Rudolph themed attractions will be making their debut as part of the 2016 Christmas Celebration at SeaWorld Orlando.
