The holiday season will be back in a big way this year at Disneyland when “Holidays at the Disneyland Resort” arrives at the parks November 10 through January 8, 2017 with fan favorites returning as well as some new surprises in store for guests.
The all-new “World of Color – Festival of Lights” nighttime seasonal show promises to dazzle the senses at Disney California Adventure park, taking guests through a “sparkling winter fantasy, combining classic holiday songs with memorable moments from treasured Disney animated films to create an experience filled with magic”, according to the Disney Parks Blog.
Also at Disney California Adventure park, Viva Navidad! returns to the Paradise Gardens area as a “daily celebration inspired by the warmth and joyous spirit of Latino culture and holiday traditions”. The fiesta includes live Latino music, dance lessons, crafts for children and a “Disney ¡Viva Navidad! Street Party.”
The entire family will delight in diverse cultural holiday celebrations, including the popular Disney ¡Viva Navidad!, and the global sounds of special guest musical groups will ring throughout the festival. Guests will enjoy delicious, internationally inspired food and beverage at 14 themed festival marketplaces, and the young and young-at-heart will celebrate with some of their favorite Disney Characters.
If that’s not enough, Princess Elena of Avalor will be making her Disneyland Resort debut during Festival of Holidays and will remain at the park to meet her fans after “Holidays at the Disneyland Resort” concludes.
At Disneyland, fan-favorites Jingle Cruise and Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle return to delight guests as well as the “Believe … in Holiday Magic” fireworks. Also returning: “A Christmas Fantasy” parade, “it’s a small world” Holiday and Haunted Mansion Holiday!
And of course no holiday would be complete without a visit with Santa Claus himself along with his elves over at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail.
