Exclusive PhotoPass Opportunities available at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Magic Kingdom

in Disney, Theme Parks, Walt Disney World

September may have just started, but Halloween is already here for the Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party begins tonight, and the Disney Parks Blog has given us a preview of some of the PhotoPass shots available this year during the event. I must admit they are some of the best I’ve seen yet, and they are sure to capture the haunting spirit of a memorable evening.

Of all the shots available, far and above the others is the photo op with the Headless Horseman. The black horse, headless rider and flaming jack-o-latern set against the backdrop of a full moon is eerie in the best possible way. This particular shot can be taken by the PhotoPass photographer that stands just past the entry turn points. It may be hard to not immediately run to all the fun that awaits throughout the park, but I strongly recommend pausing a moment to capture this image. The takeaway will be well worth the wait.

Another PhotoPass exclusive, located near the Haunted Mansion, appropriately places a ghost atop the “horseless-driven” carriage. If you’ve always wanted to see what actually does command that hearse, not only is this your chance to find out but it is also your chance to pose with the paranormal.

Possibly even more fun than the still shots are the animated shots the party is offering. The pumpkin patch photo op is in the center of Town Square per tradition, but this year when you download your photos from Memory Maker, two ghastly butlers flank you on both sides as you smile unknowingly.

And finally, guests of the party have a chance to spin with the well-known ballroom dancers of the Boo to You Parade. Any PhotoPass photographer on Main Street will be happy to help you catch this supernatural activity on film when you ask for an animated shot as you creep closer to the castle.

Memory Maker or Memory Maker One Day are required to download and share the exclusive photos online. Since this is the way that most people share their photos these days, it’s smart to grab one of those packages before you head out if unique photos are a priority for your family.

Mickey’s Not-S0-Scary Halloween party is a separate-ticketed event held select nights throughout September and October. It’s a fantastic chance to enjoy the Magic Kingdom during the haunting hours of the night as the park takes on a spooky form. Tickets can be bought online, by phone (407-939-5277), or at the gate.
