Disney’s new live-action feature “Queen of Katwe” relates the true story of an impoverished young Ugandan girl whose life is forever changed when she takes up the game of chess.

To help celebrate the release of the movie, on opening weekend the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood will present live chess matches with twenty-year-old Grand Master Daniel Naroditsky, who will play two simultaneous games against volunteers from the audience before every show. “The audience will be able to cheer on as they view the games projected onto the big screen.  Naroditsky will also share tips and tricks about chess.”

After the film, Naroditsky will also be on hand to take questions in the El Capitan’s lower lounge area.
