The online retail giant Amazon has just launched a new digital comic book service called ComiXology.  With the option to purchase single issues or the opportunity to subscribe to unlimited issues (ala Netflix style), the service boasts over 75,000 titles available.

The service also includes graphic novels and Manga as well.  Publishers like DC, Marvel, Image, Dark Horse, IDW, Archie and more make up their list of 166 publishing companies on board. See the full list here.

Single issues range from  $ .49 (for sale issues) to $31.99 (for some graphic novels).  The unlimited service will set readers back $5.99 a month (and there is a FREE 30 day trial too!) and requires an Amazon.com account.

Issues are delivered via the ComiXology website or mobile app (Kindle fire, Apple’s App Store and Google Play) and can be downloaded to read off line.  Users with more than one device can switch between screens within their subscription or for purchased titles.   The service is currently only available in the USA.  To learn more about this digital service and the 30 day free trial to the unlimited subscription service, visit ComiXology’s website.
