Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be all about Earth Day next Friday, April 22 for the special “Party for the Planet” event!
Presented by Disneynature, guests are encouraged to take part in several activities planned for the park that day, according to the Disney Parks Blog.
Anyone who’s been to Animal Kingdom knows that there are always friendly animal educators and conservation experts on hand to discuss the many aspects of global environmental issues and animal care at the park but there will also be special animal feedings and training experiences for Earth Day.
In Discovery Island, Disney PhotoPass photographers will have plenty of Earth Day-themed props and frames to mark the occasion.
Pinocchio’s lovable pal Jiminy Cricket will be at Rafiki’s Planet Watch from April 17 through 23 to help celebrate Earth Day as well.
Making a special appearance will be Walt Disney Imagineer and Portfolio Creative Executive Joe Rohde, who will be there to sign a new coffee table book, The Disney Conservation Fund: Carrying Forward A Conservation Legacy from 1-2pm at Discovery Trading Company. For more information, click here.
