Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon expands their menu of race offerings

Great news for runDisney athletes!

Looks like there’s a whole new menu of offerings for the 2016 Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend! The event takes place November 3-6, and will feature not only the inaugural Disney Wine & Dine 10K, . So, ya know…wear comfy shoes. Chef Remy from Ratatouille will be cooking up a delightful new 10K race through Epcot, and Lumiere’s Two Course Challenge will serve up its first course.

According to runDisney, the now extended race weekend will begin Thursday, Nov. 3 with the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo followed by Mickey’s Holiday 5K on Friday morning at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. For the little speedsters, they will also be adding another day of runDisney Kids Races, which will take place both Friday and Saturday.

Extensions also include expanded courses through Epcot and Disney’s Animal Kingdom:

On Sunday morning, runners will enjoy a 13.1-mile course through Walt Disney World Resort for Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon. After plenty of recovery time, the exclusive Post Race Party will take place Sunday evening with extra hours to enjoy everything the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival has to offer.

The exciting expansion news goes beyond runDisney. There are also enhancements coming to Walt Disney World Theme Parks. Some of these additions will be open for guests to experience during our race weekend, including the nighttime spectacular Rivers of Light at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the “Frozen Ever After” experience at the Norway pavilion at Epcot and more!
