Sunday night, during the performance of the Candlelight Processional at Epcot, Disney president George Kalogridis announced that Walt Disney World Resort would be giving a $500,000 grant to help homeless families this holiday season.

The grant will go to the Homeless Impact Fund, which was established by the Central Florida Commission on Homelessness. The fund will be used for a variety of needs in the homeless community, but Disney’s generous donation will go towards homeless families in Orange and Osceola counties.

Last year, Disney’s gift to the community was $25,000 to the Community Food & Outreach Center in Orlando.
