Tom Schroder, Universal’s media spokesman in Orlando, said the company would not be commenting in response to questions Wednesday. Universal has declined repeatedly to comment on their interest in the purchase of the property.

The purchase of this property may help settle the multiple rumors of the expansion of the Universal Theme Park in Orlando.

A source who wished to remain anonymous spoke to Orlando Sentinel and said he doesn’t believe there’s a timeline for development yet.

The property includes the largest tracts of vacant land in Orlando’s International Drive tourism area, and is already loaded with entitlements which would allow thousands of hotel rooms and residential units and on another portion of the property — a theme-park style attraction.
