Aside from the six-month delay from its original planned release date, it’s no coincidence that “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is opening one week before Christmas. The holiday is one of the biggest movie-going periods of the year, and it also gives the Star Wars brand an opportunity to market itself alongside the nostalgia and theme of family togetherness that Christmas brings along with it.

A great example is this great new Duracell commercial, that utilizes a sense of adventure and very high production value to sell kids (and parents) on the possibilities of an excitement-filled holiday, with the combination of imagination, Star Wars toys, and of course Duracell batteries:
