10 Must-Do’s at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Walt Disney World

The popular ticketed event Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is now in full swing at Magic Kingdom, Walt Disney World. The holiday party is held on select nights between Nov 8th- Dec 18th and you can purchase tickets here.

To make sure you don’t miss a single bit of the fun during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party here is our 10 must do’s for the party.

 1. Pick up your guide map.

As soon as you walk into the park make sure you collect your party guide map that will tell you all about the nights entertainment schedule and other important information. You can see a preview of the map HERE

2. Enjoy some complimentary cocoa and cookies.

It wouldn’t be the holidays without some delicious treats and during the party you can pick up free cookies and cocoa at select locations throughout the park.

3. Meet some special Disney characters.

During the party there are tons of Disney characters out you usually don’t have the opportunity to meet. Sandy Claws is out in Storybook Circus, as is Scrooge McDuck. In Adventureland you can take selfies with the Christmas Parade reindeer and elf and in Fantasyland the royal princesses are greeting together with their princes.

4. Pick up some commemorative Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party merchandise.

5. Make sure to watch the Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade

The wonderful Christmas Parade travels down Main Street twice each party night and is definitely something you should not miss.

6. Watch Queen Elsa light up Cinderella’s Castle in the Frozen Holiday Wish

See your favorite characters from Frozen celebrate the lighting of Cinderella’s Castle. Thousands of shimmering lights cover the famous castle and it’s a splendid sight to see.

7. Sing along to the Celebrate the Season castle stage show.

If you really want to get into the holiday spirit watch this swinging Christmas castle stage show featuring Mickey and Friends and tons of Christmas characters.

8. Marvel at the Holiday Wishes firework show.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party gives Walt Disney World Resort guests the chance to experience special holiday festivities, including the spectacular fireworks extravaganza, “Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season.” This enchanting after-hours party also includes lively stage shows, a unique holiday parade, Disney characters in their holiday attire and snow flurries on Main Street, U.S.A. During the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party you can find an abundance of great holiday snacks from Christmas-themed caramel apples to Mickey elf steins filled with yummy cocoa.

10. Lastly, don’t forget to pick up your party exclusive Sorcerer of the Magic Kingdom card.
