Every year, the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival becomes a marquee event for adults and children who visit the park. While Epcot has always been seen as the most adult of the Disney World Parks, the festival has the opportunity to provide guests with unique food and drink from around the world. One of the more popular attractions in recent years is the exclusive Chase Lounge.

With Chase returning for another year of sponsorship, it is not surprisingly they’d like to offer a unique experience for their card holders. This year the event gave their customers a fun, unique, and most importantly, air-conditioned experience.

First, any guest wishing to get to the Chase Lounge must walk through a checkpoint where a cast member checks for your card. While we were there, the cast members were only letting up four people per card. This could be an issue for larger parties, so either bring two cards, or be aware your whole party may not be allowed upstairs. If you have to take the stairs there are a few fun signs hanging in the stairwell.

After getting upstairs, there are three areas for you to explore. The first is a lounge just to the right of the stairs and elevator that gives guests the opportunity to purchase alcohol from a cash bar, or drink from a Coke Freestyle machine. The alcohol is reasonably priced compared to the rest of the event, and the Coke Freestyle machine was free to drink from. There was also coffee with creamer available for those looking for a pick me up later in the evening.

After you grab a beverage, you can move down the hall to the seating area. This area has a handful of tables and chairs for guests to rest and take time to recharge. While guests can recharge, so can their phones at complementary charge stations. There’s also a camera in the sitting area that allows guests to take selfies of themselves. It was really popular and had like a five minute wait while we were there.

A little further past the general seating area, there was an entertainment area for children. In one corner there was a television set up to play Disney shorts and television shows, while the other side of the room had two separate Disney Infinity 3.0 play sets. The play sets had various characters available for usage, from Star Wars to Pixar, so you’re likely to find a character of your liking.

Another extra perk given to Chase card holders was a reserved area for Illuminations and reserved seating for the Eat to the Beat concerts. Both the reserved areas are nearby the America pavilion, so its only a short walk away. In both cases, you get a fairly uninterrupted view of the events, making their reserved areas prime for anyone wishing to take advantage.

With all the unique experiences occurring at Food and Wine, this is an easy one to miss. If you have a Chase card or a Disney Visa card, make sure to swing by and enjoy the air-conditioning and fun. It’s enjoyable and definitely worth a half hour or so in the middle of a busy day.

Epcot’s International Food and Wine Festival lasts until November 16th, 2015.
