Flying Fish Café at Disney’s Boardwalk gets reimagined menu and atmosphere in 2016

Shortly after the New Year arrives, the famed Flying Fish Café at Disney’s Boardwalk will close down for several months for what’s being billed as a complete reimagining of the fine dining seafood restaurant.

The Disney Parks Blog shared the news earlier this afternoon giving a few details on what to expect when it reopens. Favorite items, such as the signature potato-wrapped snapper and seasonal approach will remain, but the look and feel of the interior will be reworked for a lighter, airier design.

The elements of the onstage kitchen will remain as well, while building out more room for the popular Chef’s Counter and wine dinners.

Both Walt Disney Imagineering and the culinary team at Flying Fish Café will be working together on this makeover, ensuring that it’s a perfect pairing of style and preference of flavors for the countless guest who will find their palates moved once again by this old favorite.
