The day after D23, Disney’s official fan club, will host a full day of events in honor of Epcot’s 30th anniversary, Walt Disney World will also be hosting a separate celebration in conjunction with D23, on October 1, exactly 30 years after the park opened.

Announced plans include Epcot history presentations and special performances and fireworks, all included in park admission.

Three presentations will be offered:
1-2 p.m. – Designing the Future – Past and Present: A panel of Disney Imagineers remembers 30 years of building tomorrow!
4:30–6 p.m. – Epcot: How it Changed the World with Marty Sklar
6:30–8 p.m. – Epcot: How it Changed the World with Marty Sklar

An “anniversary moment” will take place at the America Gardens Theatre at 3 p.m., including performances by Mariachi Cobre and Voices of Liberty. And after dark, the “IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth” fireworks show will conclude the day with an 30th anniversary tag.

D23’s Epcot 30th celebration is sold out for September 30, so the October 1st festivities offer a chance for all park guests to join in the excitement.
