The highly-anticipated 2011 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival will feature a “Passport to a World of Flavors” for its 16th year, running Sept. 30 – Nov. 13. The annual festival features more than 25 international marketplaces offering small plates of food from around the world along with beer, wine and cocktails. And this year, three new cultures will be included along with a new comfort lounge.

According to the Disney Parks Blog, Hawaii, the Caribbean islands and Portugal will make their Epcot International Food and Wine Festival debuts in 2011, featuring food such as Kailua pork sliders, ropa vieja, and calamari salad. Also new this year will be the Odyssey Lounge, offering games, web access, and charging stations for electronic devices.

As previously announced, a Cranberry Bog display by Craisons will feature more information about cranberries than anyone could ask for.

In all, more than 270 chefs will cook for the event, including celebrity chefs Jeff Henderson, Cat Cora, Alan Wong, Gale Gand, Suvir Saran, Jamie Deen, Rock Harper, Celina Tio and more.

Disney also recently announced the line-up for the 2011 Eat to the Beat! Concert Series where Taylor Dayne leads opening weekend.

The 16th Epcot International Food and Wine Festival is part of a regular day at Epcot, though each plate of food or beverage does cost a few bucks extra – but worth every penny.
