‘Ratatouille’ dark ride en route to Disneyland Paris as first concept art, plans are revealed

A ride based on the 2007 Disney/Pixar film “Ratatouille” is all but officially announced for Disneyland Paris, as concept art and building renderings have been uncovered in a local city planning office. Armed with years of rumors, a member of the French-speaking Disney Central Plaza forum decided to take a look around the town of Chessy in an attempt to discover more about the rumored attraction – and did so successfully.

Found were concept art and two engineering drawings of the entrance area, themed as the entrance to Gusteau’s restaurant, the setting for the majority of “Ratatouille.”

But it’s unlikely that guests will dine at Gusteau’s, with rumors instead indicating a “trackless” wild ride through the adventures of Remy and Linguini.

Little is known about what Disney plans to put into this Ratatouille ride, as it has not yet been officially announced. But given that this artwork is officially on file, it’s likely to be fully revealed soon. In the meantime, it’s easy for an Orlando such as my self to hope that this attraction, while completely appropriate for Disneyland Paris, some day comes to the France pavilion at Epcot. There are no indications that this will happen – just wishful thinking.
