“Star Wars: The Clone Wars” voice actor James Arnold Taylor will be event host for Star Wars Weekends 2011 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Tonight voice actor James Arnold Taylor announced via his Facebook page that he’ll be taking on the role of Event Host throughout Star Wars Weekends 2011.

Okay, big announcement! I have just accepted Disney’s offer to be the Event Host for all 4 weeks of Star Wars Weekends 2011!! I will be in Florida for 4 weeks from May 20th to June 12th. I am very excited about this opportunity and can’t thank the folks at Disney enough. More to follow soon! JAT

Taylor voices Obi-Wan Kenobi, amongst others, on the popular animated series, “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” and will host the event with the previously-announced celebrity host Ashley Eckstein, voice of Ahsoka Tano on the show.

The voice actor was previously in Orlando for Star Wars Celebration V, where he used his talents to record an introduction for Show 280 of our Inside the Magic podcast. Listen here:

Also in attendance for the first two weeks of Star Wars Weekends will be Anthony Daniels, who played C-3PO in all the Star Wars films. More Star Wars celebrities will be attending, but have not been announced yet.

Star Wars Weekends 2011 will be held every Friday, Saturday and Sunday beginning on May 20 and concluding June 12.
