Disney films received 13 nominations for the 2011 Academy Awards, with Toy Story 3 leading the group toward bringing home a few more Oscars.

It’s no surprise that the much-acclaimed Toy Story 3 picked up a nomination for Best Animated Feature Film, but it has also received a spot amongst what the Academy believes to be the 10 best films of the year in the overall Best Picture category. Alongside, the short film “Day & Night” that accompanied Toy Story 3 at the box office is nominated for Best Short Film (Animated). The film also received nominations for Best Sound Editing, Best Writing (Adapted Screenplay), and Best Music (Original Song) for Randy Newman’s “We Belong Together.”

Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland received 3 nominations, and Tron: Legacy, Tangled, and Iron Man 2 received just 1 nomination each.

Notably absent is a nomination for Daft Punk’s highly-praised score to Tron: Legacy.
