501st Legion of Stormtroopers to bring new Star Wars items to Build-A-Bear at Disneyland and beyond

in Disney, Disneyland Resort, Theme Parks

If you’re one of the many Star Wars fans still mourning the loss of the original Star Tours attraction and not sure how you’re going to cope until next year’s Star Tours 2.0 debut, you may want to head to your local Build-A-Bear store this weekend and check out their newest launch.

Many Build-A-Bear locations already feature five Star Wars outfits: Jedi, Anakin, Darth Vader, Clone Trooper and Pajamas (slippers sold separately). Starting this Friday, Star Wars invades even further with a new teddy bear, three new outfits (Han Solo, C-3PO, Princess Leia), a Star Wars sound AND Light Sabers that even have Light Saber-y sound effects.

To top it off, many locations around the U.S. and even a few in Canada are getting a visit from the 501st Legion and will be meeting, greeting and taking pictures. The Build-A-Bear Workshop in Downtown Disney at the DIsneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif. is one of those lucky locations, so if you are in the area or are headed to Disneyland, you can still get your Star Wars fix between 11 am and 3 pm on Saturday, September 25th.

For more information, check out the website or follow the company on Twitter.

Editor’s note: In the interest of full disclosure, it should be noted that Amy is an employee of Build-A-Bear at Downtown Disney. Regardless of this, we still think Star Wars bears are cool. Especially ones with Light Saber-y sound effects.
