Disney’s Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria menu provides hope for those seeking authentic Italian food in Orlando

Disney has recently released the menu for Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria, the upcoming eatery being constructed in Epcot’s Italy pavilion. When Via Napoli opens some time next month in August, it may very well become my new favorite place to eat on Disney property, as I’ve been in search of a quality, quick Italian meal in Orlando for quite some time.

The 300-seat restaurant is being created by the Patina Restaurant Group’s CEO Nick Valenti who created the Naples 45 Ristorante e Pizzeria in New York. Anyone who has tasted true New York pizza knows there is nothing comparable to it in the Orlando area, so I’m hoping that Via Napoli becomes the first to offer an authentic taste of not only this thin, crispy pizza, but also the rest of the flavors promised by its menu.

Among a variety of appetizers, salads, and entrees, the dishes that really pique my interest are the veal, chicken and eggplant parmigiana and the variety of wood-fired pizzas that include fresh ingredients like tomato, mozzarella, basil, artichoke, pecorino cheese, and prosciutto. And I’m sure I won’t be able to pass up the zeppole di ricotta for dessert.

While some chain Italian restaurants in Orlando are acceptable, my picky tastes have only ever been truly satisfied in this city by homemade dishes – but I’m hoping that Via Napoli changes that.

You can find the full Via Napoli menu at the official Disney Parks Blog.
