Howl-O-Scream 2010 teaser site reveals this year’s Busch Gardens Halloween event “is gonna rock”

Details are always sought after, but rather scarce, in the months leading up to Busch Gardens’ annual Howl-O-Scream event. Today a teaser site was put up exclaiming that this year “Howl-O-Scream is gonna rock!”

Described only as “the most electrifying Howl-O-Scream ever,” the event is likely to be centered around the notion of rock music and/or a rock concert, as is evidenced by the presence of concert tickets, song lyrics scribbled on a crumpled paper, and screaming fans. Of course, Howl-O-Scream is never a stranger to screams but it sounds like this year it’ll be tough to separate the screams of excitement from the screams of sheer horror.

Each year, Howl-O-Scream takes on a new theme for its event. Past years have included a dastardly DJ and a freaky fashion show. (Halloween always inspires me to use alliteration. Looks like this year’s overused phrase will be “creepy concert.”)

The site also reveals dates for this year’s event, beginning with two “Freaky Preview” nights on Sept. 24 and 25 from 7:30 p.m. – 1:00 a.m. The event officially begins on Sept. 30 and runs through Oct. 31, Halloween night, taking place each Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Halloween this year falls on a Sunday and marks the final night for Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream.

Tickets are also available now for pre-order on the Howl-O-Scream web site.
