Pollo Campero

At Walt Disney World’s Downtown Disney, McDonald’s restaurant has closed its doors to be replaced by a Latin quick-service chain restaurant called Pollo Campero. The menu items will feature Campero Latin chicken (fried or grilled), yucca fries, sweet plantains, and Latin drinks, including horchata and tamarindo. The menu also will include more nutritious meals such as chef-prepared salads, sandwiches, and wraps.

While Pollo Campero serves more than 85 million customers each year at more than 300 restaurants in 12 countries worldwide, this will only be the fourth Campero location in Florida, with the closest to Orlando being a couple of hours south in Boynton Beach.

Pollo Campero at Downtown Disney is scheduled to open in late 2010.
