Notes and links to help you decide:

  • The Main Street Electrical Parade will make its return to the Magic Kingdom in Orlando on June 6 as part of Disney’s “Summer Nightastic” Walt Disney World promotion. It’s the first time this nighttime parade will be seen in Florida since it left in 2001.
  • Disney tells us that the “Summer Nightastic! Fireworks Spectacular” will be an all-new fireworks show, also premiering at the Magic Kingdom on June 6. The show is expected to feature new music and plenty of exciting visuals.
  • Also part of Walt Disney World’s “Summer Nightastic,” The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will receive enhancements (likely beginning in June) including glow-in-the-dark effects and a new elevator drop sequence.
  • In California at the Disneyland Resort, their “Summer Nightastic” promotion kicks off on June 11 with the premiere of “World of Color,” a highly-anticipated new nighttime projection-filled water show at Disney’s California Adventure. This show is part of a larger project to enhance most of the California Adventure theme park.
  • Over at the Universal Orlando Resort, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter will hold its grand opening on June 18, promising to bring “muggles” everywhere into Hogwarts and Hogsmeade for the first time ever. The new “island” is part of the Islands of Adventure theme park and will feature one new multi-million dollar attraction, Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, along with new stores, a restaurant, and two re-themed attractions to fit in with the Wizarding World.
  • “Captain EO” is making its way back to Epcot on July 2 after first reopening at Disneyland in February. The 3D film starring Michael Jackson will also return to Disneyland Paris (June 12) and Tokyo Disneyland (June 30).
  • So which one are you most excited about? Vote in our poll to see what everyone is eagerly awaiting!
