Travelers on holiday in Orlando from the United Kingdom in the last few days have found themselves stranded here, unable to return home as a result of the cloud of ash from the Eyjafjallajokull volcano in Iceland cluttering up their home skies. But if you’re going to get stranded somewhere, Orlando is a good place for it to be.

On Sunday, SeaWorld Orlando began offering free admission to guests who could show that they were unable to return home due to the volcanic cloud. Now, other parks and attractions have joined in the kind gesture. Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando, and Wet ‘n Wild are also providing free tickets to those who need them to keep their minds off of their cancelled travel plans.

At Walt Disney World, guests who can show their cancelled airplane tickets or expired boarding passes along with a photo ID proving where they’re from can receive a free one-day park hopper ticket today and tomorrow, valid for entrance into any of the four Disney theme parks. Plus, stranded travelers can also take advantage of Florida resident discount rates being extended to them by Disney for their on-property hotels.

At Universal Orlando, these guests can receive one-day admission to the two Universal parks today and Wednesday as well as 50% off Universal hotel room rates for those who are already staying there.

Update (4/20/10): Disneyland Resort in California has is also offering free admission tickets to their theme parks today and tomorrow.
